One star for their terrible customer service. I’m not a typical person who likes to give negative reviews or argue over poor service, but here’s what happened: noticed a small dent on my new racket after picking it up from the store for stringing and stencil, didn’t realize it until I got back home (which a big lesson learned: always check before you leave the store if you ever come here for racket service!). Spoke with a store manager next morning over the phone, and got a new replacement promise after a few emails. Went for the exchange next day, a different store manager insisted on offering only 10% discount and was trying really hard to not get me a new replacement. Had to show the email proof and this is where things went ridiculous, they claimed that “someone else” replied and promised me the exchange not the manager I spoke to. The manager also start finding all kinds of teeny-tiny reasons to reject for an exchange, and informed me that they are the highest in the store, there’s no any other person I can talk to for a better solution. At that point I no longer want to argue and simply wanted to leave, so I settled for the discount. Later they found out it is a online order, the manager told me they can’t do anything about it, and all of sudden claimed they really “want” to give me a new racket but they can’t, which felt disingenuous. There are much more details I could share, but I think this is enough to give you a sense of their awful service. They are full of liars, watch out!

Walked into the store 5:45pm on a beautiful spring Friday. The store was deserted without any shopper in view. I left my skateboard and a small heavy shopping bag with several bottles of wine just bought up the street by the first rack. Clerk – “you need to move your board”. Fine – I moved my board. Clerk – “you need to move your bag”.

Ok. Took my bag and board and went across the street to Lacoste. Left the bag and board near the entrance and all I got was “hello, welcome…” A much friendlier place.

The Wilson clerk is extremely well trained to keep any nuclear facility safe.

Ordered a shirt and swim trunks and my order was cancelled an hour later with no explanation. I checked the site and both items were still in stock, so I reached out to customer support and they told me it was out of stock. So I ordered again, different sizes this time since apparently the first ones weren’t actually available. Order was cancelled a second time with no explanation. Clearly this business does not keep track of their inventory and doesn’t think a reason for cancellation should be provided. I give up.

So happy to have a store in NYC where you can still try on a swimsuit. I believe this might be the last store where you can purchase a racing suit. They carry TYR and Speedo. The salesperson was knowledgeable and went into the back to find me the right size. They also carry a large selection of swimcaps and goggles… including prescription goggles. Glad to see they are still here.
