I can’t give Sans Bakery enough compliments! Their service and care about items shipped is better than anyone I have dealt with past present and probably future.My sister wanted to order a Lamington cakes for my birthday. Brian made sure I was shipped what my sister had ordered; the six individual cakes that are wrapped(I thought it was the cake). However, UPS in their divine wisdom, deemed it necessary to ship them on a scenic tour. They didn’t arrive on time for my birthday but that was NO FAULT of the bakery’s. I want that to be perfectly clear. I reached out to Brian and while I was disappointed that I wouldn’t get them on time he was so kind and empathetic that I couldn’t stay upset for long. Again, I thought it was the regular cake and not the individual ones. Brian said he would ship replacements but once I saw they were the individual ones and confirmed they were still fine to eat, I was happy, my sister was happy, all was well. But Brian wasn’t having it, he was unhappy that UPS failed us both. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I received another box of the Lamington cakes! I was not expecting that. I was perfectly fine with the outcome but Brian again is an amazing person and he didn’t appreciate that this was a representation of his bakery by UPS’s failings. So now I have plenty of Lamington cakes and they are freezable so I put a few away so I can enjoy them later.As far as being true Lamington cake like the original in Australia, it took me right back to Adelaide where I had my very first one! Oh my goodness they’re so good! And did I mention they’re gluten-free?!I cannot thank Brian and Sans Bakery enough for making my Unbirthday amazing and tickling my palette enough that I sent pictures to my cousin in Melbourne Australia taunting her a little. She can pick them up at the Woolworth. 😉

Love this place ! Wish I knew about this place sooner honestly. The communication is 10/10 and the cakes were sooooo good, so soft and moist ! I’m a vegan and been a vegan my whole life and my family is really used to buying cakes from the same places and the cakes are never fancy looking, no designs nothing really with character, also sometimes very dry or hard or just straight up bland ! But this place omg !! Great all around love how they have different designs for vegan cakes and not just 1 ! I feel so inclusive for once by having a nice looking cake for my birthday & the pricing wasn’t bad at all !!! I got a vintage pink heart cake for my birthday on January 19th and my lil sisters birthday was on the 23rd so we also got her a cake but it was a Valentine’s Day cake turned into a birthday cake ! And my family loved both cakes !! Thank you for making our birthdays extra special this year !

Ran over to this bakery for some sweet treats just before they closed. I’ve been dying to taste the pistachio cupcakes and pound cake. I ended up ordering 2 pistachio cupcakes and 1 lemon cupcake ( they were closing and didn’t have enough time to decide). Upon tasting all the cupcake I will say I thought it was all just OK. Good but just ok. I didn’t like the sprinkles and glitter added to each of the cupcakes and I wasn’t a fan of what tasted like marshmallow icing on the pistachio cupcakes. Now the lemon cupcake was great. More my cupcake speed minus the sprinkle and glitter. I can definitely go for another lemon cupcake sometime in the future. There is a pudding refrigerator in the back with really nice layers of flavor that I’d love to try on another visit . The bakery doesn’t have a lot of seating and the staff are really nice. The pricing is also reasonable for the city. I will try to return soon.

I ordered a custom cake and was really looking forward to trying this vegan bakery but unfortunately I was completely underwhelmed. The presentation was lackluster, the writing on the cake looked unprofessional and sloppy. The cake itself was ok, kind of dense but the worst part was the frosting. It was so sweet it honestly tasted like sticks of butter sprinkled with sugar mixed together. Completely inedible, we powered through for the events sake but the money spent was not worth it. More than half the cake ended up being tossed. So disappointed because I has high hopes based on reviews. Maybe the pastries/donuts are the winner here because the cakes definitely aren’t. :/

They have nice cabanas for hanging out and it’s a pretty vibey social neighborhood environment. Their day-old pastry bin is a good way to try things out without breaking the bank.
