The store is more aesthetically pleasing than a lot of skate shops. It’s woman owned and I like their design and they have a good amount of variety and items. The only reason I’m giving it so low is because I’ve entered every raffle for 3 years and never won a single one. Strangely another Brooklyn skate shop, I win pretty frequently. Some people claim they backdoor. I don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised if I never win a raffle. It’s a bummer.

This is the most welcoming shop for new skaters. I came in two weeks ago to get my first board (ever!) set up and Marcos was the absolute best, slowly walking me through the whole process and explaining what he was doing so I could learn for the future. (Then he helped me stand on my board for the literal first time inside the shop to test the trucks so it was like a terrifying christening. 🙏) I didn’t get everyone’s name in the shop that day but the rest of the KCDC crew was so sweet and welcoming too. Have been riding every sunny day since, and loving my setup. TY guys!
