Solid stock and loads of RSD releases floating about. I’ve heard lots of folks on here complaining about the staff, but they seemed pretty nice when I was there (especially when they were fielding questions by Record Store Day Only Hobbyists that they probably get asked million times a day). Prices are a little high, but it’s in around one of the most expensive neighborhoods in NYC.
Let's look at what users say about this business
Extremely overpriced place, wouldn’t recommend at all. Everything was $10-20 over retail. For the record, the Olivia rsd stick season 7inch vinyl cost me $32.65 which was $13 higher than the one I got in Brooklyn on the same day.

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into Village Revival is the overwhelming amount of STUFF. When I say stuff, I mean vinyl, DVDs, CDs, cassettes, et al. If you’re a music nerd who loves the hunt, you’ll initially be excited by the challenge until you realize that 95% of the stock should be in a landfill. This is not a curated collection of media, this is the same stuff you’ve seen in every Goodwill and grandparent’s garage over and over again. Random classical stuff, religious music, lame watered down 60’s standards. The most egregious thing though is the pricing. It’s absolutely out of control. A copy of “Yakety Sax” for $39.99! A 30 Rock DVD for $14! This is .99 cent Goodwill bin stuff being outrageously marked up to take advantage of naive tourists and drunk NYU kids looking to buy an “ironic” Tammy Faye Bakker album as a gag gift.Oh, and there’s some guy whose job is to stand there and watch everyone in the store like you’re gonna try and steal their Mozart box sets, so the atmosphere is really welcoming and relaxed. This city (and this neighborhood in particular) is full of great record stores. Some are even reasonably priced. If you shop here you’re a chump.

Little gem discovered in Greenpoint. what a shame we’re only here for 5 days – if we lived here, we would live HERE. Coffee is delicious, staff is super laid back and welcoming, accommodating any special requests, and how much better can it get than vinyls and coffee in one place… right?! so 120% recommended. Bonus points for having stickers! Unfortunately they cost 1$ but nothing is free in New York. The floor decor in this store is insanely cool! So dope walking and finding your fav album underneath your feet. There’s something for everyone in the selection. Despite not being massive, it has enough variety where every second feels new. I was able to find 2 records to purchase. The clothing section may feature your favourite bands. I found a really cool The Clash shirt with some Japanese captions! The Photo Booth wall was cute. I tried to take some photos in the booth but it would not accept my card no matter what I did, would have been a cool souvenir.Overall enjoyed coming to this store and it is a must visit place for any record collector.

Just stopped in to buy some records. I picked out three records (Dizzy Gillespie, etc). All the records in the bin are marked $40. I get to the front and the guy decides to Google how much each record costs online. He realizes he could get more for the records (they themselves have placed and priced the records in the $40 bin) and tells me he won’t sell them to me because he wants to get more for them. He wanted to sell me cheaper records for $40 and when I spent 20 minutes sorting the records for him and found a few good records in the bin, he admits that they haven’t sorted the records and decides not to sell them to me. Absolute trash service and the epitome of how you don’t run a record store. If you don’t feel like knowing what you have in your inventory then take the L when customers find a gem.
